    I believe that it’s a rue based sauce which would be butter and flour, maybe they substituted margarine which is lower in sat/trans fats.

    Actually, it looks more like a sauce, such as hollandais, or something with basil or herbs, definitely does not look like butter to me but only the photographer would know. :)

    It is interesting that the picture shown for this shows salmon and asparagus drowned in butter. Butter is a food very high in saturated fats that help produce LDL cholesterol, kind of defeats the purpose of eating the salmon.
